Minnesota Moment: University Researchers Awarded for Efforts to Make Environmentally-Friendly Plastic Bags

As part of the Inventor Recognition Event, the University recognized a research team led by Marc Hillmyer for its efforts to make plastics more environmentally friendly.

"We're always asked about how are we benefitting society and how are we translating those findings into real societal benefit," said Marc Hillmyer, a university chemistry professor. "And I think it's important to recognize those who actually are effective at doing that and to teach people and tell people our stories."
