U of M Researchers Share Credit in Boston Scientific’s FDA Win on Brain Stimulation

Following a clinical study led in part by a U of M neurologist, Boston Scientific has received FDA approval for its Vercise Deep Brain Stimulation system.

Led by neurology department chairman Dr. Jerrold Vitek and backed by the state-funded MnDRIVE research program, the U of M Medical School played a key role in the multi-site “INTREPID” clinical study, which was completed shortly before the FDA decision.
