Why the University of Minnesota?

discussion Welcome to the University of Minnesota's Undergraduate Research website. While this site is primarily intended for current students and their faculty mentors, you are welcome to browse the opportunities you will enjoy if you join our University of Minnesota community. At Minnesota, we believe that all undergraduate students can benefit from personal experiences working with faculty mentors in research and creative activities. We offer research and creative activity experiences to students in all of our undergraduate colleges, to students in honors programs, as well as students not in honors programs. You can learn more about applying to the University of Minnesota as a prospective student at the Admissions Office website.

Guaranteed opportunities to participate in undergraduate research are offered to very able prospective students. Students are selected to receive these opportunities as part of the overall University admissions process. You can obtain more information about early selection for undergraduate research support from the Admissions Office or by contacting the Undergraduate Research Office by calling 612-625-3853 or emailing Marvin Marshak or Vicky Munro.
