Meet an Undergraduate Researcher

Sam HoolihanSam Hoolihan CLA ‘08 is a Fine Art major, whose Faculty Mentor is Professor Andrea Stanislav in the Department of Art. Sam's UROP project is entitled River to Infinity: The Vanishing Point. Sam is working with Professor Stanislav on the production and execution of her solo show at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. He will be helping with photography and "behind the scenes" work and expects to learn how a professional artist works in the real world and how an idea becomes crystallized into a show. Sam enjoys art, photography, traveling and reconnecting with the environment through gardening. He tells other students that undergraduate research "is an opportunity to work with a faculty member you admire, and it is a great experience."
