Why Research?

I wanted to understand more about the subject matter. It is personal for me and something I am very passionate about.

What Did I Get from Research?

I think research is a great way to start a basis of knowledge. It is a great way to learn about new things in a different environment with different perspectives to challenge new ideas.

How Did I Start?

I heard about it through a multicultural advisor. He referred me to the UROP program.

Advice for Another Student

Start early when you are thinking about it. Spend time interviewing the professors you want to get involved with, and think critically about what you want to accomplish with the research. Keep your researched focused on essential points.
