Why Research?

I enrolled in Dr. Kuncel's Honors Freshman Seminar "Fact and Fiction in Standardized Testing" that was offered by the honors program for freshman. I asked and was approved to be a research assistant. I then began a literature search on my project, developed and submitted a UROP proposal.

What Did I Get from Research?

I learned that there are many research resources that are offered by the University including many libraries and a sophisticated online system that allows east access to literature. Hands on experience is essential for learning the research process. Research experience is invaluable because it teaches you how to self- start, organize, be efficient with your time and resources, and work with a professor. I know this experience will help me in my respective undergraduate, graduate and professional careers.
