Meet an Undergraduate Researcher

Alyssee ZittnanAlysse Zittnan is a CLA senior, who is double majoring in Spanish and Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences. Alysse has completed a UROP with Professor Benjamin Munson on the topic of The Influence of Linguistic Complexity on Gender Typicality in Children's Speech: Acoustic Analyses. Her research involved looking at the gender differences of speech, what classifies genders, and how you know it is a female or male that is talking to someone. She looked at tone and analyzed the different voice patterns of men and women. Alysse plans to do graduate studies and work as a professional speech pathologist.
