Phone:  612.626.7283

Andrew has been creating software-based start-ups and licensing software with the OTC since 2008. From health IT and algorithms to mobile apps and educational assessments, his portfolio comes from all corners of the University.

Andrew has licensed patents, trademarks, copyrights, and know-how internationally and domestically, non-exclusively and exclusively. His favorite work aligns with the AUTM Better World Project: licensing innovations that will improve our everyday lives, with the hope for long-lasting impact.

Previously, Andrew spent nine years in sales, marketing, and business development. He began his business career with the licensing division of CBS MarketWatch, then joined Traffic Technologies, a transportation safety products distributorship where he directed the company’s sales and marketing efforts. Immediately prior to arriving at the University of Minnesota, Andrew was part of a Mayo Clinic tech transfer start-up, serving as the Director of Sales.

Prior to his business career, Andrew spent two years performing bench science in UCLA’s Cardiology Division, competed internationally on the United States National Rowing Team and coached collegiate rowing at UCLA and Columbia University.

Andrew enjoys triathlons and still rows and coaches recreationally. He lives in Excelsior with his wife and three daughters.

Andrew holds a B.A. from Princeton University.
