After completing this training tutorial, you will be certified to use animals in research and teaching at the University.

Estimated time to complete: 60 min.

What you will learn about:

  1. the basics about the ethical treatment of animals,
  2. what to know about doing research at the University of Minnesota, and
  3. training specific to your area of research: biomedical (coming fall 2003: agricultural and wildlife).

Instructions

You must complete the 3 quizes and then complete a registration process to complete the training certification. This process sends notification to IACUC that you have completed the training.

You will not be able to save your work and come back later so make sure you have enough time to complete the tutorial in one sitting.

  1. Read each part and then complete the quiz for each part.
  2. If you need to look back at a previous section during a quiz, you may use the navigation bar on the left to go to that section. Your work on the quiz will not be lost. You may then navigate back to the quiz using the navigation bar on the left.
  3. Once you have completed all of the quizzes correctly, you will be able to register this training as completed.
