In this workshop, we provided an overview of the four phases of a project and their considerations:
- Initiating a Project
- Receiving an Award
- Managing a Project
- Completing a Project
In your role as Principal Investigator you should :
- Understand the processes involved in obtaining funding from sponsors external to the University.
- Understand the processes involved in managing funding from sponsors internal and external to the University.
- Understand the regulations and the University policies that govern applying for sponsored projects.
- Understand the external and University regulations that govern how awards may be spent.
- Understand the responsibilities of a Principal Investigator (PI) in the grant process.
- Become aware of the resources available to PIs for administering and managing sponsored projects.
