Image of birch trees

Scientists at the University of Minnesota-Duluth have developed technology to convert the white bark of birch trees into compounds for commercial applications. High purity compounds derived from birch tree bark can be used in various industries, including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and cosmetics.

This technology is being further developed by a University start-up company, NaturNorth Technologies, LLC.
