
Pamela Webb, associate vice president for research

On Monday, July 9, Pamela
Webb began her appointment at the University of Minnesota as the
new associate vice president for research administration and director
of Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA), replacing Ed Wink who
is retiring at the end of the year.
Webb comes to the University of Minnesota from Stanford University
where she served as senior director for the Office of Sponsored
Research supporting approximately $975 million in research expenditures
annually. In all, Webb has more than 20 years of experience in research
administration from universities including Stanford, Northwestern,
UCLA, and the University of California, Santa Barbara.
“Pamela's experience and leadership will build on the culture of
service and support established during Ed Wink's tenure,” said Vice
President for Research Tim Mulcahy. “As our new associate vice president
and director of SPA, Pamela's commitment to provide outstanding
service will help us move forward as we partner with the University
community to reach our goal of becoming a top three public research
university.”

Webb is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and the University
of California Management Institute.
